Meet Laurel!

Laurel and her husband started Cliffside Candle Company on the shared experience of making candles with their fathers. They both had fond memories of making candles and figured why not start a side hustle! The business quickly became Laurel’s passion project and she took the company by the reins and is doing everything she can to spread the experience and joy of Cliffside Candle Company.

Candles are more than just a product. To Laurel, they are an experience and she wants to use her own personal experiences to craft unique candle scents that hopefully help transport other people back in time to wonderful memories and places.

The name Cliffside Candle Co came from an inside joke that Laurel’s community has about the Cliff that they live on. It’s a place of friends, family and laughter. Sometimes they’ll say “we’re hanging on the cliff” or “come to the cliff!” It represents relaxation and just being in nature with the people you love.

  • I can’t pick just one!

    Sweet morning drinking was our very first pour. The scent should invoke a feeling of when you first wake up in the morning and you start your day with coffee and maybe a little bit of bourbon. ;)

    Seaside Sippin’ was created with a girls’ beach day in mind. It will make you want to just sit down and relax in the sun with a couple friends and maybe a fun drink or two.

    Cliffside Cabin is one of our signature scents that is everything nature, woodsy and a little autumn. The candle personally takes me back to my father’s house and having lost him recently, it’s comforting, like a warm hug from him.

  • Start something you believe in that isn’t just your Monday - Friday career, and do something fun that makes you and other people happy.

  • Always be true to yourself. There will always be people that don’t like you and people that love you. Surround yourself with positivity always and don’t let negativity affect you.

  • 100% soy. The wicks are non-toxic - cotton and paper soaked in soy wax. The scents are very non-toxic. Phthalates free. Skin safe.

  • My go-to coffee order is black coffee or chai tea!
